Here's the other installation we found of Alcoa davit poles and clear mercury lamped globes similar to Century City- on W West Covina Pkwy, between the I-10 and Sunset. These are different though- they are 3- globe poles, and the globes are smaller.

They are probably all clear lamps, and were probably installed around the same time as Century City- early 1960s- and the Westfield West Covina mall is just on the other side of Sunset- also with some of these small globes, and some of the bigger ones too.
Also check out those Line Materials Stylaires- more pics below.

They are different to the Century City globes in that the lamps are smaller- probably 175W- also they are integral ballast where the Century City ones are remote ballast, and these are multiple wired as opposed to series.
You can see there is no optical control to speak of either- just a bare lamp inside the globe (unless there was a reflector assembly that is missing here).

Finally, included on this page as I saw it on the drive away from here, this is a long abandoned floodlight pole on Turnbull Canyon Rd, just before you get into Whittier. No sign as to what it used to point at, there was nothing but an overgrown canyon...
