This is just where PCH peels off and becomes the 10, the ramp is where you'd go if you wanted to join PCH going North from Ocean. The pier is off to the right. Get the fullsize pic and you'll see a very well preserved example of an early style L-M Ovalite, this style has a separate pressed reflector whilst the later style was a one piece aluminium casting with the reflector entirely inside- a lot like the differences between the early (pre 1952) and late model OV-20. This one is the only example still remaining at this location.

At one point, Santa Monica would have been a great place to drive round at night as there's lots of old lighing still on the city's streets, as these pictures show. However, this city has a policy of retrofitting old fixtures with HPS, so a nighttime drive round is a wash of orange, if you see what I mean!

Status unknownCheck attempted on "as of" date (usually via GSV in this case), but status of light could not be determined at that time, usually as fixture could not be found again
as of Jul 2019 but many removed after 2010
There are miles of streets still with NEMA head gumball lens fixtures, like this.

This location is actually Marina Del Rey, at Lincoln & Washington. There are one or two really old examples still out there, like this series teardrop.
