Update May 2025: Latest GSV shows this one east of 2nd St surviving, the one to the west attached to the furniture store has been replaced by some sort of LED fixture, a sad end.
Mount Vernon is a small place on I-5, about 40 miles from the Canadian border. A couple of good lighting sights here, firstly 2 rare GE Form 101FR fixtures, doubly rare as they
are catenary wire mounted. They are located on Montgomery St, either side of 2nd St downtown. As I didn't see any evidence of enternal ballasts, I'm guessing they are
incandescent (I didn't see them at night).

One of the catenary wires is anchored to the side of Lyon's Furniture & Sleep Center- also on the side of that building are two old incandescent floods. It looks like they are pointing at something that is no longer there, or were perhaps for the parking lot across the street. In the closeup pic, there is "Made in USA" cast into the fixture, but no maker's name unfortunately. The Form 101FR pictured is in good condition with no holes in the glass or dents in the body.
