Magenta Metal Halide
This is a HIT Colorite HIT-DE 150 MG magenta metal halide lamp. It's made by BLV in Germany. It's a good quality lamp, notice the 'mg' stamped on the arc tube and the magenta porcelain RX7s end caps. Other than that it's not possible to tell the colour unless you light it.
Have a look at the video and pics (the 4 above show the first minute or so after startup) and see that when it first strikes, it looks like any other MH lamp for the first 30 seconds or so, then the halide salts that cause the magenta colour kick in, and the colour gets more saturated. I must say though, the colour is not all that saturated, in order for the camera to pick up the colour it was necessary to get a shot with a lot of white surfaces- including the ballast- so you can see the reflected light, shooting directly it was hard to see the real colour.
