Update May 2025: Some time after May 2019 the whole centre was torn down. Looks like it was closed in 2017 as the sign disappeared. The site has been
redeveloped and is now home to a 7 Eleven gas station, a pot shop, and a Starbucks.
Pics taken July 2008.This was a random, accidental find...there is a shopping centre called "Crater Corners" on the NE side of the intersection at Crater Lake Ave and E McAndrews Rd in Medford, and we just happened to drive past at dusk and saw the parking lot with 2 GE Powerglows.

This is my favourite pic of this sequence- the mercury lamp in the Powerglow just warming up, showing the bowl had not been cleaned in a long time, and the floods below turning out to be HPS.

It looks like someone had complained about the lack of light at some point, and rather than relamp and clean the Powerglow fixtures, the HPS floods had been added but the Powerglows were left connected.

One one pole, the HPS floods worked, on the other they didn't. Both Powerglows worked, and had noisy ballasts.

Unfortunately, the whole set of lights cycled- they came on long enough for most of the lamps to warm up, then went off for a few minutes. It is possible the positioning of that photocell and the fact that the HPS flood aiming had been changed, had something to do with this. For this reason, I don't think this installation will survive for long in its current form.
