Lots of old stuff in and around downtown Lubbock- starting here at the interchange of Hwy 289 at E Slaton, southeast of downtown. This is very unusual- the himast installation at this interchange is 3 poles, each with 15 Revere 'Cateye' floods. The remote ballasts can be seen also, they are HPS.
This is the only installation I know of, using these floods as himast luminaires.

Update May 2025: Another large series installation bites the dust, in this case sometime between Jan 2022 and Apr 2023. All replaced with LED now.
There is a lot of overhead wired series left in and around the downtown area- this for example is at Broadway and Ave L.

Looking west on E Broadway- the Meadowbrook golf course is to the right.
More overhead series wired poles, as can be seen quite a lot of this stuff is mercury too.

The following pics were taken around the Civic Center area, and show some of the details of the overhead wiring used.
It's important to document this stuff, as it will inevitably soon be gone.
