55W 240V SOX Lamp

This one is a 55W 240V SOX lamp of indeterminate origin.It might be a Philips SOX Plus but there are no markings anywhere on it. It's had a few hours put on it too.
The first picture is a closeup of the electrode end of the lamp soon after switch on. In this picture and the one next to it you can see the red neon discharge that is characteristic of these lamps on start- up.
The third picture is the lamp after about 10 minutes. The sodium vapour discharge has taken over from the neon. Notice the blobs of unvapourised sodium in the discharge tube.

You can see the yellow sodium discharge spread out along the tube. Of all the lamps on this site, this one took the longest to warm up- about 9 minutes.
