In the whole LA Metro area, there were only 4 places that we knew of that hosted the extremely rare GE "Hillsider" fixtures. At time of writing (2025) they're all gone now, but the Chatsworth and Benedict Canyon locations were the main ones. Deep into Orange Co., this residential location on Los Alamos St in Fountain Valley is just north of the 405 freeway. There is a small run of fixtures which are of interest. They burn HPS lamps, 70W if the stickers are to be believed.

Strictly these are not Hillsider fixtures, the fixture body is actually a GE "Mission Bell" which usually contains a conventional optic. These few fixtures however
contain GE Hillsider optics, the unique lens can be clearly seen. Why this is, and why this location, is lost in the mists of time. The assumption is, that this was a test
location, but as to the purpose of the test, we've not been able to find out.
