This series loop is hanging on just south of where Eagle Rock Blvd meets Colorado Blvd, and is doubly interesting because several of the surviving fixtures are GE Form 400- very rare for this part of the world these days.

A couple of years later, and we got some night shots round this location. The daytime pictures (except for the first one) all look north towards Colorado Blvd, so looking north the location of this pole is on the right just before the intersection.
This is a GE M400, probably a replacement for a older Form 400, and burns a clear mercury lamp.

Reports via Glen Norman indicate that around June 5th, 2014, this light has been removed, doubly sad as it was one of the very few utilitarian span-wire series incandescent fixtures left in LA.
This fixture, when the daytime pic was taken in 2010, was located at roughly 827 Colorado Blvd, in Eagle Rock right on the border of South Pasadena. My Thomas Guide shows this location as being LA County, which could explain why this fixture lasted for so long. However it does appear on the BSL Patrol Maps, so it's possible the LA BSL did the removal. Also it's possible this is a DWP owned light, and they have been aggressively removing their remaining incandescent fixtures recently.

As you can see from the night time pics (taken in October 2012), this light was still doing a useful job even in comparison to the HPS fixture further up the street.

This picture isn't actually within Eagle Rock city limits, but is included here as it's in the vicinity (south of the pics above) and was taken at the same time as some of the others here.
This fixture is the remains of a series loop that is just north of the Glendale freeway. It's west of the freeway and Glassell Park but it's actually LA County as far as I can tell.
Just north of the freeway, Fletcher turns south and becomes Ave 36. Fletcher itself continues to the east, and it's this intersection where the light is located. It is a Westinghouse teardrop, and burns a clear mercury lamp.
The BSL patrol maps aren't too clear, but at one time this light would seem to be fed from a series regulator located at San Fernando Rd and Fletcher, or possibly Fletcher and Estara.
At some point, maybe when the series loop was decommissioned, it was converted to multiple operation and still works to this day.
