LEDs at 6th St Bridge- Downtown LA

Update Mar 2018: Due to concerns about earthquake resistance, the bridge was closed in late January 2016 and demolished soon after. The replacement is due to be completed some time in 2019.
The 6th St Bridge is just east of Skid Row in Downtown LA, going over the LA river to Boyle Heights. It was chosen by the Bureau of Street Lighting for an installation of the biggest LED luminaires currently in LA.They are Beta Ledway, which is a modular fixture, here fitted with 100 LEDs.
Here is a closeup of a fixture. 5 of the 6 20- LED modules are installed, the power consumption is around 130W I believe.
The night time look is very impressive as can be seen above, but from the daytime shots you can see the pole spacing is pretty close compared to other non- LED SCO installations of the same pole height. Even so, if this is the way LED fixtures are progressing, the future looks good...
